Short description
I am a PhD researcher at Maastricht University and employed at InteraktContour, a healthcare organization specialized in treating and supporting people with brain injury. I completed my bachelor’s and master’s degree in Health Sciences at VU University Amsterdam. I am particularly interested if direct manipulation of the brain (using non-invasive brain stimulation) can be applied to positively influence cognitive rehabilitation in people with brain injury.
Focus areas
In my research projects, I study the effects of transcranial electrical stimulation on neglect-related symptoms after stroke. Neglect is a disorder of visuospatial attention characterized by a reduction or inability of a person to process or perceive stimuli on one side of the body or environment.
