The knowledge the Limburg Brain Injury Centre (LBIC) collects about acquired brain injury is shared in the curriculum of university education, mainly within the psychology program at Maastricht University. The LBIC is also committed to providing further training for various professional groups. For example, Prof. Caroline van Heugten, co-founder of the EHL, has delivered multiple training groups for general practitioners to raise awareness of the invisible consequences of brain injury. In addition, the LBIC organizes an annual symposium for everyone involved in the care of patients with acquired brain injury in the Limburg region.
