Short description
Since 2009 I have been working as a healthcare psychologist within Zuyderland Medical Center and Zuyderland GGZ, where I am currently training to become a specialist (clinical psychologist). I was trained at Maastricht University Hospital (azM), where I worked for ten years in the field of neuro- and rehabilitation psychology, in particular multiple sclerosis (MS). Among other things, I did doctoral research on fatigue in MS (2010).
Within Zuyderland I combine patient care, scientific research and training new colleagues. I supervise GZ-psychologists in training to become specialist clinical psychologists (RINO Zuid/RINO Utrecht) in their scientific research and I am science coordinator of the Department of Clinical and Medical Psychology.
As a scientist-practitioner, I stand for high-quality care with the goal of improving patients' quality of life. The research that Zuyderland does in collaboration with EHL contributes to this.
